THE BLACK WOMEN’S EXPO IS BACK

MBN in conjunction with Clear Channel Communications sits down with the director of Chicago’s Black women’s Expo to discuss the momentous yearly occasion. Merry Green (EXPO creator) states that this event is more of a service to the community than anything. Now in 2015, the Black Women’s EXPO (Sponsored by State Farm) is set to commence again Friday March 27th through Sunday March 29th at Chicago’s McCormick Place Convention Center.

In 2014 the EXPO featured quests such as Laz Alonso, Kym Whitley, RhymeFest, Roland Martin, Lisa Raye, Doug Banks and others. This 2015 fiscal year will see a keynote from the likes of Robin Roberts and a performance from Erica Campbell. The natural hair community will be prominent this year and highlighted with a Natural Hair Pavillion! Watch the 2013 recap below to witness just a taste of what the years before have had to offer the community. From education, to the support of business owners, the Black Women’s Expo provides a massive platform to network, vend, and experience positive growth. The energy of this event every year is absolutely amazing.
